Safer alternatives should only be used for money that you want to use in the short-term and not as a response to potential market downturn fears.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We would all like to miss market drops (Bear market) but avoiding short-term declines by exiting the market often results in missing large market increases (Bull market). In fact, if you missed the market\u2019s 10 best days over the past 30 years, your returns would have been cut in half.
